Randy’s Recommended Networking Groups

These are the groups that are in my immediate area. For some, I attend every meeting, others on occasion.

RED – BNI groups (Business Network International)
GREEN – Other groups

  • Bridge to Success BNI (INFO / MAP) – Tuesdays, 8:15-9:45 am at Iron Skillet, 500. Buckhorn Rd., Mebane
    • The first 15 minutes are registration and open networking.
    • There is plenty of parking.
    • Bring about 25 business cards.
    • Bring a 60 second presentation for the group.
    • There is no charge to visit.
  • C-DU-22-MC BNI (INFO / MAP) – 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of the month, 11:15-12:45 at Parizade, 2200 W. Main St., Durham
    • The first 15 minutes are registration and open networking.
    • NOTE: This is a start-up BNI Core Group and will be meeting monthly, until 10 membership seats are filled.
    • Parking in front of the restaurant, in back of the building, or in the Hilton parking lot.
    • Bring about 20 business cards.
    • Bring a 60 second presentation for the group.
    • There is no charge to visit, but you are asked to purchase lunch to support the restaurant.
  • Chapel Hill Business Champions BNI (INFO / MAP) – Wednesdays, 10:00-11:30 a.m. at Carolina 1663 (at Sheraton-Chapel Hill), One Europa Dr., Chapel Hill 27514.
    • The first 15 minutes are registration and open networking.
    • There is plenty of parking.
    • Bring about 30 business cards.
    • Bring a 60 second presentation for the group.
  • Wake Up Wednesdays (MAP) – 3rd Wednesday of the month, 8:10-9:30 a.m. at Carolina Brewery, 120 Lowes Drive, Pittsboro; I attend monthly
    • The first 15 minutes are registration and open networking.
    • There is plenty of parking.
    • Bring about 60 business cards.
    • Bring a 30 second presentation for the group.
    • Admission $5, includes a light breakfast.
  • Wine Down Wednesdays (MAP) –  Last Wednesday of the month, 4:00-6:00 p.m. at 20 W. Colony Place, Durham (it’s a business complex); I attend monthly
    • There is plenty of parking.
    • This is an open networking event, bring 20-30 business cards
  • Goldminers BNI (INFO / MAP) – Thursdays, 8:00-9:30 a.m. at Vailtree Event Center, 1567 Bakatsias Lane, Graham (Google says Haw River, but website says Graham – exit 150 on I-85).
    • The first 15 minutes are registration and open networking.
    • There is plenty of parking.
    • Bring about 50 business cards.
    • Bring a 50 second presentation for the group.
  • Bull City BNI (INFO / MAP) – Thursdays, 11:15-1 at Parizade, 2200 W. Main St., Durham; I am a member of this group
    • The first 15 minutes are registration and open networking.
    • Parking in front of the restaurant, in back of the building, or in the Hilton parking lot.
    • Bring lots of business cards (typically 50-60 people per week).
    • Bring a 30 second presentation for the group.
    • NOTE: The restaurant charges $8 per person, which they will waive if you purchase lunch for $10, plus tax and tip.
  • Research Triangle Professionals BNI (INFO / MAP) – Fridays, 9:00-10:45 a.m. at NC Wesleyan Aspire, 4426 S. Miami Blvd., Durham.
    • The first 15 minutes are registration and open networking.
    • There is plenty of parking.
    • Bring about 40 business cards.
    • Bring a 30 second presentation for the group.
