How to Apply Iron-On Patches

If there is any question about ironing a specific garment, it should be tested in an unobtrusive area. BrandShark is not liable for damage to materials to which patches are ironed.

Iron-on patches should always be applied to freshly laundered items. Some manufactures leave chemicals in the materials, so even new items should be laundered.

Patches should be sewn on materials which cannot be ironed, such as nylon, vinyl, and leather.

Iron-on patches can be sewed on, if desired.

Do not bleach.

  1. Set iron to “Cotton” (350-400) degrees and allow to heat.
  2. Iron area where the patch will be applied.
  3. Place patch on garment.
  4. Place light cloth (such as a bed sheet or pillow case) over patch.
  5. Iron in a slow circular motion, with firm pressure, for 30 seconds Рbeing careful to not move patch.
  6. Turn garment inside-out and iron back side in a slow circular motion, with firm pressure, for 30 seconds.
  7. Let cool for 1 minute. If edge of patch can be lifted, repeat step 6.
